- CPET is the performance of an exercise ECG stress test with the addition of a mouthpiece or mask that is affixed to the face during exercise to measure breathing, oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production. It provides an integrated assessment of the heart, lungs, blood vessels, and skeletal muscles ability to perform exercise. This can be performed on a treadmill or bicycle.

- Medication is administered to assess blood flow (perfusion) to the heart while undergoing cardiac MRI.

- MRI exercise testing
- This incorporates the addition of exercise stress to the cardiac MRI. A patient will undergo an exercise stress test on a treadmill or bicycle while MRI images are obtained to measure heart function under exercise stress.
