Preparing for your appointment

We can see patients within one business day, if desired. However, we encourage you to request medical records from your doctor and bring them to your appointment. Medical offices can sometimes be unreliable about faxing them. If you have had any imaging, such as a CT scan or MRI, it is helpful to request and bring a CD of the images also. We can upload these images to our system for detailed review.

Patients with suspected genetic conditions of the aorta, such as Marfan Syndrome, are seen in a dedicated multispecialty clinic run through the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (add link). Although it is run through the children’s hospital, both adults and children come to this dedicated clinic and see multiple specialists together.
