Brain Tumor Program
Each year, nearly 50,000 Americans are diagnosed with brain tumors that lead to symptoms, and thousands more develop tumors involving the spine and spinal cord.
VCU Health’s Neuro-oncology Clinic is a team of physicians from numerous specialties including a close partnership with the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center - who work as one to diagnose and treat brain and spinal cord tumors. In addition to conventional treatment approaches, we often participate in clinical studies directed at treating brain tumors. We use advanced imaging, 3-D image reconstruction and state-of-the-art technologies that allow for image-guided surgical treatment of central nervous system tumors.
Diseases and conditions treated
- Adult brain tumors
- Childhood brain tumors (Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU)
